| The Scanmaster DTS Pinpoint Probe is a rugged, easy to use pinpointing probe. Featuring push button on/off switch, indicator light and buzzer, hole illumination light. Detection area on probe is along the entire length of the probe area. The Scanmaster Probe is our new name for the Sherlock Probe and is a direct replacement for this item. A probe can help pinpoint a target in a hole, which has been dug smaller than the detectors coil. A useful tool to have on you when detecting as it will save time and energy digging more. TOP TIP: When working in a muddy field with any pinpoint probe, put it in a plastic see through bag and tie an elastic band around it. This will keep it clean and save the job of cleaning the probe after use. When detecting a target, use the probe as you would your detectors search coil by crisscrossing over the potential target.The target illumination light is automatically activated when the probe is switched on.
