Pottery in Britain by Lloyd Laing |
|
On the back cover:
Lloyd Laing has been interested in ancient objects since the age of 11. Currently a senior lecturer in archeaology at the University of Nottingham he has directed many excavations, carried out extensive fieldwork and written many books, academic papers and poular articles. He has always found the detective work involved in identifying broken pot shreds in the field and museums, a thoroughly satisfying experience.
