Instructions
Half fill the supplied plastic container with warm water, add to this one teaspoon of citric acid and one teaspoon of salt, stirring gently until dissolved. This is known as Electrolyte. Make sure the transformer is NOT turned on and hang the stainless steel anode over the side of the plastic container with the longer part in the electrolyte. Carefully attach the item to be cleaned to the crocodile clip (do not move the item too much when in the jaws of the clip as it will scratch it), hang this inside the plastic container on the opposite side to the anode but submerged in the electrolyte, use a clothes peg to hold the cable in position. Connect the transformer to a suitable 13amp mains socket and turn on, the red LED will light up. You may notice small bubbles coming from the electrolyte, this is quite normal and shows that the cleaning process has started. After a minute or so turn off the transformer and carefully remove the item, rinse in clean water and rub gently with a cloth. Resume cleaning for a short while having moved the crocodile clip to a different position.
